David Giuliani, Co-Founder and CEO
David Giuliani is the CEO and co-founder of Pacific Bioscience Laboratories. Previously, he was CEO and co-founder of Optiva Corporation, the fastest-growing privately held U.S. company in 1997, according to Inc. Magazine. Under his leadership, Optiva developed, manufactured and marketed Sonicare®, the revenue leader in power toothbrushes. He sold Optiva in 2000 to Philips Oral Healthcare. Giuliani was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year for the USA by the Small Business Administration in 1997. He also was a featured speaker at the White House Conference on Corporate Responsibility in recognition of his innovative business practices. Giuliani received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He studied graduate-level electrical engineering and business at Stanford University, and has authored more than a dozen U.S. patents.

Jack Gallagher, President
Jack Gallagher oversees business operations for Pacific Bioscience Laboratories, drawing on his entrepreneurial skills and vast executive experience in the consumer products industry. Gallagher founded the ultrasound toothbrush company Ultreo, where he most recently served as CEO. Prior to Ultreo, Gallagher was president of Optiva Corporation/Philips Oral Healthcare and helped grow sales of the Sonicare toothbrush from $130 million to $300 million within three years. He also spent more than 20 years with Johnson & Johnson working in various sales, marketing and general management positions, including President of Johnson & Johnson Canada. He holds a bachelor of science and a master of business administration from Seton Hall University.

Mike Stull, Chief Operating Officer
Mike Stull oversees all finance and international operations of the company and has 25 years of senior management experience with high-growth technology, consumer product, and health care companies. From 1993 to 2001, Stull was CFO of Optiva Corporation (now Philips Oral Healthcare), from the early revenue stage up to the sale to Philips Electronics. More recently, Stull provided business and financial consulting for several entrepreneurial-stage technology and medical device companies. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of Washington. Stull began his career with the international accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche and became a CPA in 1983.

Robb Akridge, Ph.D., Co-Founder and VP of Clinical Affairs
Dr. Robb Akridge oversees the design and implementation of all in-house clinical studies, external research contracts and clinical trials. He is the primary liaison between key dermatology opinion leaders and researchers. Prior to Pacific Bioscience Laboratories, Dr. Akridge was the principle scientist at Optiva Corporation, and held clinical trial management positions at ICOS Corporation and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in Austin, a Master of Science degree in biology from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, and a doctorate in microbiology with an emphasis in infectious disease and immunology from Texas A&M University.

Ken Pilcher, Co-Founder and VP of R&D
Ken Pilcher is the lead inventor of the Clarisonic Skin Care System. He has 28 years of product development experience including oral care products, medical electronics, and spaced-based data acquisition and avionics for the NASA Space Shuttle. Pilchers most recent position was director of research and development for Optiva Corporation, managing a 32-person department with a budget of $4.5 million. His technical expertise includes microprocessor-based systems, RF transceivers, servo controls and precision signal conditioning. Pilcher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington where he also studied graduate level topics in semiconductor physics and operating system design.

Bill McClain, Senior Director of Marketing
Bill McClain directs all domestic marketing activities for the company and has more than 15 years of experience in consumer healthcare marketing and advertising. Most recently McClain led the development of the European professional market for Philips Oral Healthcare and the Sonicare toothbrush. Previously, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for net32.com, and director of professional marketing for Optiva Corporation. McClain earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and has taught marketing and public relations at the university level.

Colleen Pierce, Director of Retail Sales
Colleen Pierce directs all domestic retail sales activities of Clarisonic. Pierce brings over 27 years of sales and senior sales management experience with prestige beauty and advanced skin care brands. Prior to joining Clarisonic, she was vice president of sales for Cosmetic and Beauty Services where she directed all selling activities of over 10 leading beauty brands. While at CBS, she established a powerful national sales organization of more than 20 account executives calling on prestige retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Sephora, Saks, Nordstrom and many others.

Rob Neal, Director of Professional Sales
Rob Neal is responsible for driving sales in the professional skin care market. He has 16 years of experience in the sales and marketing of health care products. Most recently Neal served as western regional sales manager for Sybron Dental Specialties. Previously, he held positions in sales and sales management with Optiva Corporation and Philips Oral Healthcare. Neal has a Bachelor of Science degree in management from California State University Chico.

Ginni Read, Director of E-commerce
Ginni Read is the responsible for all e-commerce activities. She has nine years of experience marketing prestige beauty products, most recently as Nordstroms online beauty manager, where she launched and managed more than 100 brands. Previously, she held positions at Point.com, and Goldwel, and has 13 years total e-commerce experience. Read has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Washington State University.
